Listen to the call of the wild. Our furry and feathered friends in Zoo Negara need your help.

RIKL is embarking on a project in collaboration with Zoo Negara. It starts 8th October (Saturday) and will carry on for every consecutive Saturdays till the end of October. Depending on your schedule, you have the option of signing up for ONE or ALL of the dates below.

8th - Session 1
15th - Session 2
22th - Session 3
29th - Session 4

All session is from 8.30am till 1.00pm. There is a minimum of 10 volunteers required for EACH session. Maximum volunteers for each session is up to 40. The more the merrier.

Scope of work includes the following:
1. Cleaning of the animal's living quarters
2. Helping zookeepers prepare food for the animals
3. Removing litter at designated areas
4. Polishing and cleaning all signages in the zoo; there also might be some office work
5. Assisting Zoo Negara's Information Officer in minding visiting children group, if the need arise.

WHAT TO BRING?
No equipment/tools are required. Zoo Negara will provide those. Just bring drinking water (about 1.5 to 2 litres) and a spare set of clothes to change in case you get wet/dirty (very likely :)

WHAT TO WEAR?
T-shirt (no sleeveless, no spaghetti straps, no tubes - obviously!)
Track pants or jeans - LONG. No 3-quarters even. Must be long - tutup aurat...
Covered shoes, like sneakers. No sandals/slippers.

Don't miss this chance to visit and help our beloved zoo. So, sign up by emailing me; Levin at projects@raleighinternational.org.my the following details:

*Your name
*Your age (Under 18 volunteers need to get their parents to sign a release form)
*Your hp number
*Your preferred session date(s)

Remember there're four dates to choose from. Finally, as a treat for all the kind volunteers, our friend in Zoo Negara -Miss Renee Yee (Information Officer)- will hold a talk on animal conservation at the end of Session 4 (29th Oct).

OK everybody, "Let's go to the zoo, there's lots of things to do....."
